The '21st World Korean Business Convention (World Korean Business Convention),' held for the first time in the United States, concluded with its largest-ever achievement, as announced on the 16th by Overseas Compatriot Cheong (Chairman Lee Key-cheol). Under the theme of "Together with the Korea-U.S. Business Alliance, for a Bigger 'Us,'" this year's convention, held from the 11th to the 14th at the Anaheim Convention Center in Orange County, California, achieved various milestones, including the largest-ever participation of domestic businesses and major corporations' first participation.


A total of 7,825 businesspeople from 31 countries participated, breaking the record for the largest number of participants in the convention's history. The event expanded in scale with the participation of major corporations such as Samsung Electronics, Hyundai Motor, POSCO, and E-Mart. In addition, 15 local governments, including Incheon, Jeonbuk, Gyeongbuk, Gyeongnam, and Jeju, participated, and the participating industries diversified from trade and commerce to finance, environment, culture, and smart fields.


A total of 535 companies and local governments presented 650 exhibition booths, and through one-on-one business meetings and the Korean Business Consultation Program, they achieved a historic export consultation outcome of $570.26 million, with 17,200 meetings held. The event also saw the participation of local business organizations and companies from six U.S. states, including the U.S. Small Business Development Center, LA, Anaheim, New York, and Arkansas Chambers of Commerce, to discuss the expansion of business exchanges with Korean companies and organizations.
