KACCOC President, Sean Roh recalls that "it was the invisible efforts of the OC Chamber board of directors and office that made it possible to bring the World Korean Business Convention to Orange County."
As the World Korean Business Convention comes to Orange County, the status of the OC Chamber in the local community has also risen. The Chamber has received many requests for cooperation from companies, schools, government agencies, economic organizations, and other chambers of commerce. The local governments where many Koreans live, such as Fullerton, Buena Park, Anaheim, Irvine, Garden Grove, and Newport Beach, are also seeking to participate in and support the World Korean Business Convention. Chairman Roh hopes that the OC Chamber will not only serve as a chamber of commerce for Korean-Americans but also as a medium for raising the status of Koreans in mainstream society and global Korea. The change in status has already begun.
The Korean American Chamber of Commerce USA has formed an organizing committee, and various cogs are working together in an organized way, with the OC Chamber setting up an operating headquarters. The Chamber is also making countless preparations, such as signing an MOU with the Korean American Foundation and Maeil Business Newspaper, and forming the OC operating organization.
